Choosing a business gift basket which includes wine is pretty simple, if you want the best wine choose a winery from the best wine region in America, Napa Valley. Of course, Napa Valley isn’t simply a monolithic wine region, there are a number of American Viticulture Areas within Napa Valley, so it makes sense to know something about each of them.

Atlas Peak: The newcomer on the block, it is both mountain and unlike other elevated AVA’s, cold. The coolness comes from the Carneros region and the San Francisco Bay which keeps temperatures down and growing seasons long. Not many famous vineyards exist on the Peak as of yet, outside of Stagecoach but there is lot of hope for Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel in the area.

Calistoga: Finally granted it’s own AVA in 2010, this small town at the extreme northern end of Napa Valley is known as much for hot springs as it is for wine, but things could change very soon.<
